What a week!! Again, thanks so much to everyone who has stopped by, I do hope you've been inspired
On to the final day, and this one is a twist on the little Maya Road flip book which is available in the kit, so I'd say todays goal is to try and show you that mini albums/kits/otp items can be used in unconventional ways, try and put your own spin on these items and you may be suprised with what you end up with. Here's what I came up with...

To begin, the flip book is designed to be used one on top of the other, I wanted to create a tabbed recpie holder instead - so I took the scrap backing paper to create the front and back of the book...the dimensions are approximately 15 cm x 15 cm...

Then cut 2 pieces of the patterned paper to match the front page...

Take one piece and fold the bottom up approx. 2/3rds of the way...

And then fold the flap back down again...

Ink the edges (I've used red ink), then add the lace to the underside of the flap...

Sew around the edges, then attach another piece of lace and adhere this piece to the second square so as to make the front cover...

For the back piece, cut another piece of patterned paper to fit length ways to the rear cover (this will be slightly short of the width due to more than half of the paper being used for the front piece), add lace to the top and bottom...

Then use the leftover strips down each side and adhere the red piece to complete the back...

Cover the tabs with varying pieces of patterned paper, line them up spanning just under the 15 cm height of the cover (as seen below), then mark where each hole should sit before using a cropadile (or similar) to create the holes...

Add the title and journalling stickers to the front...

Here I've inked the brackets and doodled as an embellishment...

Add in the chipboard pieces to the pocket on the front...

Name your tabs, outlining each with a journal pen to help them stand out from the patterned backgrounds...

The ribbon in the kit was larger than I liked, so I simply cut the piece in half down the centre...

Cut up some note book paper/card to fit each section...

Thread the ribbon through the holes once you're happy with how many pieces of notepad paper you have...

Tie them off in a knot or bow...

And finally embellish each page as desired...

Thats it! You've got a cute little recipe book
Again, hope you've had fun,a nd thanks so much for joining me this past week!
